Jack de Keyzer and Topper Blues Band to perform at the Baby Point Blues Concert and Picnic’s Tencenary

September’s Baby Point Blues Concert and Picnic is the 10th occasion of this popular annual event.

This year’s lineup entertainment features 2-time Juno and 7 times Maple Blues Award winner bluesman Jack de Keyzer backed by Topper Blues Band, comprised of some of Toronto’s finest blues musicians. It will definitely be a show worthy of the occasion!

Come and enjoy a great afternoon of music and a picnic on the lawn with your friends and family!

3.30 PM - Gates open

4:00 PM to 8:00 PM – Jack de Keyzer and Topper Blues Band

The cost of admission is $5 per person or $10 per family. (Cash at the gates)

The 2018 Blues Concert and Picnic is a "not to be missed" occasion. All Baby Point club Members and members’ guests are welcome. Bring your own picnic food and refreshments (it is a licensed event, so alcohol is permitted) and seating. 

Described by Jeff Healey as “"The finest blues guitarist in Canada" Jack de Keyzer is one of Canada’s most awarded and in-demand live performers. Jack has released 10 CD’s and 1 DVD and also played on hundreds of recordings and live sessions with artists including Etta James, Ronnie Hawkins, Bo Diddley and Blue Rodeo. 

He is an exciting live performer who has brought audiences to their feet at many major Jazz and Blues Festivals including the Montreal Jazz Fest, Blues Sur Seine (France) Ottawa Blues Festival and Puerto Blues, (Mexico). 

Jack has been nominated for the Juno (Blues Album of the Year) 5 times, winning twice in 2003 and 2010 and has won 7 Maple Blues Awards (Canada’s national blues awards). 

He will have you rocking in your seat and swaying to his hot blues, soulful r&b and cool soul jazz. 

Bassist/vocalist Alec Fraser has toured extensively with Morgan Davis, Danny Brooks, David Wilcox and Jeff Healey and produced Juno-winning recordings for Jack de Keyzer, Morgan Davis and Julian Fauth.

Mike Daley is a guitarist/vocalist who studied jazz guitar and earned a PhD in musicology from York University. He has played with Rita Chiarelli, Suzie Vinnick and Jeff Healey. 

Al Cross was a founding member of Big Sugar and has played with Great Big Sea, Ashley MacIsaac, David Wilcox, Ian Tyson, Danny Marks, Jimmy Bowskill, and Jerome Godboo.
